Design<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

We have handwoven this alpaca scarf using plain weave and a combination of alpaca fibres in the weft, giving it a very distinctive graduated appearance. This technique gives the fabric flexibility and softness, adding a touch of elegance to the alpaca textile. It is a medium-weight fabric, soft, warm and easy to combine.<\/p>\n

Colour<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

We have chosen two combined colours, timeless and easy to wear:<\/p>\n

  • Warp<\/strong>: a combination of natural white, beige, grey and black tones. (The base on which we weave). <\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Weft<\/strong>: a combination of natural white, beige, grey and black tones. (The fibre we pass across the base).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Fabric and warmth<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

    • Composition:<\/strong> 100% natural undyed alpaca.<\/li>\n
    • Feel:<\/strong> very soft, with body and drape.<\/li>\n
    • Texture:<\/strong> medium texture.<\/li>\n
    • Breathability:<\/strong> high; alpaca is a fully breathable fibre.<\/li>\n
    • Warmth:<\/strong> high, suitable for cold areas or people who feel the cold easily.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Alpaca.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

        Alpaca comes from the Andes, in Peru. It is an exquisite fibre with a series of qualities that give it exceptional quality: it is very soft, very warm, thermoregulating, does not retain odours and, because its structure has very few scales, it does not felt easily. Alpaca pieces provide a great deal of warmth while remaining light, and are very pleasant to wear.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Finishes <\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n
          \n
        • Stitching:<\/strong> hand-worked hemstitching on the first and last threads so the fabric does not unravel.<\/li>\n
        • Weft ends:<\/strong> manually woven in with a needle at the selvedges to avoid knots in the fabric.<\/li>\n
        • Fringes:<\/strong> short, neat and grouped with the hemstitching.<\/li>\n
        • Washing:<\/strong> hand washed with natural soap to check the quality of the fibre and the final measurements. In the first wash, the fibres settle and the fabric reaches its final size. After subsequent hand washes, it does not shrink further.<\/li>\n
        • Ironing:<\/strong> hand pressed with steam to enhance the finish, drape and texture.<\/li>\n
        • Brushing:<\/strong> brushed by hand to give an even softer, more pleasant feel when worn.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
