The Ashford Brooklyn 40 cm 4-shaft table loom was designed as an accessible introduction to shaft weaving, opening the way to both simple and complex structures such as twill, satin and rosepath.
The maximum weaving width is 40 cm. It includes 320 heddles (80 per shaft) and a 40/10 reed, allowing you to weave across the full width on all 4 shafts at a maximum density of 8 ends per centimetre.
It is comfortable and straightforward to work with, with an easy-to-use beater, a wide shed and shafts that move smoothly.
As a professional craftswoman and accredited Master Artisan, I recommend taking a handweaving course on table looms before purchasing this loom. It is not an intuitive loom: it opens the door to the fascinating world of low-warp weaving, weave structures and drafts. Please contact us with any questions; I will be happy to advise you personally.
