Philosophy and Manifesto

Our values as a starting point

A basic decalogue we want to share

Defining and clarifying a starting point, a set of working and communication principles, is very important. For us, it reflects the reality of our day-to-day work. We have set them out separately, point by point, so they are written down clearly and so you can understand where we start from and the values that guide our work.

Philosophy

Starting point

In our work, we always start from basic principles of quality and closeness. For us, your satisfaction is a fundamental part of our work.

We want to convey authenticity, honesty and trust, while sharing this craft and our own particular way of carrying out our life and work project.

Our priority

Our priority is that you feel truly pleased to wear, use or give our pieces, surrounded by a sense of serenity, well-being, trust and satisfaction.

To achieve this, we preserve the quality, exclusivity and diversity of our handmade pieces through local, small-scale and sustainable production.

Manifesto

Important starting points. Our way of being and our way of working.

1. Nature

Nature is the source of inspiration for our work, our textiles and our life. We are part of it, not above it. It guides and directs us through its colours, textures and rhythms, through its patterns of creation, with wisdom and patience.

2. Sustainability

As a starting point, by logic and by choice. Preserving and caring for the place where we live. We weave only with natural, organic and/or recycled fibres, without compromising the needs of future generations, constantly seeking to reduce our environmental footprint, with the utmost respect for the nature that surrounds and shelters us, the Sierra de Segura and our precious planet.

3. Craftsmanship

As a form of production and expression, of continuous creativity, of slow work with our hands; a practice that connects us with our origins and reminds us who we are, our creative abilities and our culture. With limited production, subject to the time each piece requires, so that we can offer an impeccable finish, as quality work, caring for every detail and pursuing perfection throughout every stage of the handweaving process.

4. Ethics

As a basic premise before taking any step. Treating others as we would like to be treated. Patience, respect and calm.

5. Honesty

As a way of life, as a signature, as the only way to walk the path we have chosen. Simplicity and coherence in all their forms.

6. Quality and excellence

In every form: in the raw materials, organic and recyclable; in the craft techniques; in the pieces and their finishes; and in the way we treat people. We value quality, not quantity; not only what we have, but what we feel, engraved as memories that help us move forward.

7. Durability

Hand in hand with quality, in pieces for everyday use, designed to be used again and again over time, beyond trends or passing fashions: timeless pieces that always feel right.

8. Humility

As a way of presenting ourselves, as a way of moving forward. We are small; that is how we began, that is how we are, and that is how we wish to continue.

9. Closeness

In the way we relate to people, in life relationships, in trust: thinking of others and their needs, considering all possibilities, helping them choose, offering advice to make things easier, sharing and improving.

10. Conscious and responsible consumption

As a way of trading, as a present reality, showing and offering the possibility of another kind of consumption, in every area, with the help of four basic questions: four simple, quick and easy questions that help us reinforce conscious, present, real and rational consumption. Just four:

    • Where is it made?
    • How?
    • By whom?
    • And with what?
