This Ashford 120 cm rigid heddle loom is recommended for experienced weavers. It allows you to create wider fabrics without giving up simple handweaving techniques. It is a robust and reliable loom for creating different unique fabrics with natural fibres.

It has a maximum weaving width of 120 cm and is prepared for weaving with two heddles at the same time, as well as with additional heddles in other densities that you can add to expand the possibilities of textures and uses in the fabrics you create.

The loom

The Ashford 120 cm rigid heddle loom is Ashford’s widest rigid heddle loom, designed for those who want to work on large-format textiles without moving to a floor loom. It allows you to create large functional or artistic textiles with generous working space. Its design combines width with a stable structure, ensuring comfortable and regular weaving.

Construction and measurements

Its structure is designed to remain stable even with very wide warps.

It is a more demanding loom because of its width, although it is worked like the other rigid heddle looms.

Delivery time is approximately 10 to 15 days. As these looms come from New Zealand, delivery times may vary. Delivery is handled by DHL.

To keep your loom in excellent condition for many years, we recommend:

  • Wipe it regularly with a dry cloth to remove dust.
  • Avoid using abrasive or wet products on the wood.
  • If you wish, you may occasionally apply a natural oil suitable for wood to nourish and protect it.
  • Check the tension of the heddles or reed according to use.
  • Store the loom in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight when not in use.
  • For folding models, close the loom correctly to avoid twisting.
