The shuttle

This 38 cm boat shuttle is comfortable to hold, durable and designed for regular use. It is one of the essential tools that make weaving on low-warp looms easier, particularly when working with finer fibres. Two small wheels help it glide through the warp and along the shuttle race of the beater.

Use and benefits

This shuttle can be used with rigid heddle, table and floor looms, particularly with fine and medium yarns or when frequent changes of colour or fibre are required. It offers greater comfort, a more even weft and improved control throughout the weaving process. It is very easy to use. First, the bobbin is wound with the weft yarn and placed onto the shuttle’s metal spindle. The yarn is then drawn through the central eye, leaving the shuttle ready to pass smoothly from side to side without pulling out extra yarn beforehand. Its benefits include:
