Curled merino wool scarf. This scarf combines vibrant colours with a plush, soft handle and an almost cotton-like feel. The gently curled yarn gives it volume and a distinctive appearance. Design

This handwoven merino wool scarf is a joyful celebration of colour. Vibrant shades of red, orange and green come together in a warm, plush and exceptionally soft piece.

Colour

We chose these colours to create a cheerful, balanced combination that is easy to wear:
  • Warp: red, orange and green — the foundation on which we weave.
  • Weft: red and green — the fibre woven across the warp.

Fabric and warmth

  • Composition: 100% merino wool with a curled yarn that adds thickness and softness.
  • Handle: exceptionally soft, with a supple body and an almost cotton-like feel.
  • Texture: substantial and tactile, providing warmth without feeling heavy.
  • Breathability: high, a natural quality of wool fibre.
  • Warmth: very high, recommended for particularly cold days.

Fibres

  • Merino wool.

Merino wool is obtained from the fleece of merino sheep. Different breeds produce different types of wool, and merino is considered one of the finest. It is exceptionally soft, flexible, breathable and warm, and it holds colour beautifully.

Finishing

  • Stitching: hand-worked running stitch along the first and last threads to secure the fabric.
  • Thread finishing: the weft ends are sewn into the selvedges by hand with a needle, avoiding joining knots within the fabric.
  • Fringes: extending along both long edges. The foundation fringes are knotted to create rhythm and movement.
  • Washing: hand-washed in our workshop with natural soap to verify the quality of the fibre, colour and final dimensions. During the first wash, the fibres settle and the fabric reaches its final size. With careful hand washing thereafter, it should not shrink further.
  • Pressing: finished by hand with steam to enhance the drape, texture and overall appearance.

  • Washing: hand wash with mild detergent and cold water.
  • Drying: wrap a towel around the clothesline, secure it with two pegs, and hang the piece vertically to avoid marks and make ironing easier if needed.
  • Ironing: no special care is required; in general, use the temperature recommended by your iron for the type of fiber. If the piece contains more than one fiber, always choose the lowest temperature.
  • Storage: keep your piece in its box or bag, so it is always ready to use.
